Dr. Susan graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998 and brings more than 28 years of experience in small animal practice to Carter Veterinary Hospital.
Raised on a farm in Peterborough, Ontario, Dr. McMillen knew from an early age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. That lifelong passion has grown into a rewarding career dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and building lasting relationships with the families who love them.
Dr. Susan has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and internal medicine. She is also Fear Free Certified and is committed to creating positive veterinary experiences that help pets feel safe and supported during their visits.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Susan enjoys spending time with her own furry family: Finn, her charcoal Labrador Retriever, Bella, her Boston Terrier, and her two cats, Maple and Beans.
